“for me the set is about the memories and the people I'm with”

  • Trance
  • Eurodance
What does your DJ name mean?
It's an acronym for my old gamertag/AIM SN.
What is your relationship with the music that you play?
I usually try to spin something that reflects how I'm feeling at the time.
Why and how did you pick up DJ’ing?
I think just hanging around all you idiots inspired me to at least try, and Jun & Edwin were very supportive when I first started. Then Jacob as well when I moved home to NorCal. It's a shame that I'm still absolute dogshit, but that's on me for not practicing more.
What is the best set you’ve ever seen?
Honestly, for me the set is about the memories and the people I'm with. I don't really care so much about the music, even if it is super sick. If I didn't get to share it with someone, I'll probably forget it. I think I share memories with most of the people reading this, so whatever set we remember sharing together, that's my favorite.
Where do you find new music?
Mostly from friends sending me some dope shit.
What is an underrated genre in the current electronic music landscape?
We need more dubstep that goes fucking hard.
What is the weirdest venue or gig you’ve spun?
Probably COVID @ Jun and Lisa's house. Not that there was anything weird about their house, but COVID was a weird time for sure. Also I had just started seeing my wife at the time, and it's weird to imagine life before her.
What are you planning to play for us at Twenty:Four?
I wanted to play music I remember ripping on Kazaa and throwing onto an MP3 player to bike to school with. I want my daughter to hear those tracks and be like, "Damn, this track kinda slaps."
