“It’s just my first initial and last name lol”

What does your DJ name mean?: It’s just my first initial and last name lol
What was your relationship to electronic music in the past?: I remember playing DDR on my cousin’s PS1 when it first came out and loving the soundtrack. Then I randomly caught Daft Punk’s “One More Time” on MTV, which really got my attention. Sadly, I sort of fell out of touch with electronic music throughout middle/high school since my friend circle didn’t really listen to it. However, I rediscovered it in college when I attended my first event, Together As One NYE 2011, and it’s been a major part of my life ever since.
Why and how did you pick up DJ’ing?: It seemed fun. I love the idea of blending 1 song into another and seeing the crowd’s reaction. So I picked up my first deck, a used Hercules DJ Console RMX, and started messing around with it so I could play at house parties in college.
What is the best set you’ve ever seen?: Porter Robinson Worlds tour in Tucson
What is an underrated genre in the current electronic music landscape?: Trance for sure. Even though it’s seen somewhat of rise in popularity, with some big names embracing the sound (i.e. Tiesto and John Summit), I think it still has a lot of room to grow in America.
What are you planning to play for us at Twenty:Four?: Golden era (2010-2015) big room/progressive
